When will the release be?
Dark and Light should hit the shelves in november 2005.
Will the game be in English only?
No, the game will be translated and managed by game masters in German, Spanish, French and Italian. But English will be the official language on the western platform.
Will there be Game Masters?
Yes, there will be dedicated game masters teams to create events in the game in several languages. They will handle the in-game and offline supports in these languages as well.
What are the alignments available?
There will be 9 alignments: Loyal good, Loyal neutral, Loyal evil, Neutral good, Neutral, Neutral evil, Chaotic good, Chaotic neutral,and Chaotic evil.
What kind of fighting system will there be?
There will be a "combo system". If the game is developed enough to allow the implementation of this system at release, you will be able to combine several actions to create specific effects, by yourself or with the help of other players.. Some combinations of spells, attacks or other actions can bring surprising results.
Will there be PvP?
Yes. Outside of Dark and Light kingdoms, that are forbidden to the opposite alignment, the 10 kingdoms are open to PvP between Dark and Light. Moreover, the attacks on weak characters will be handled by an honor code.
Can we attack players the same alignment as ours?
You cannot attack players who have the same alignment as yours, except in friendly fights without any consequences.
You cannot hurt a character the same alignment as yours. Spells with an area of effect can disturb your fellow fighters if they are in the zone, but they will never hurt them.
Do we need a high-end computer to play DnL?
If you want to access all functionalities of the engine, the answer is yes. Dark and Light engine can be adapted to lower-end computers, thanks to an automated system and several display options.
We are still working on the engine, in order to allow the highest amount of computers to run the game. But we won’t force you to change your hardware configuration.
At the moment, the game can be played with a GeForce4 video card. The game already runs with a 56k modem or ISDN.
